It’s not a coincidence that the two teams – Cleveland and Golden State — that made the most 3-point shots this season are facing off in the 2016 Finals. The NBA has evolved into a league that values the 3-point shot more than ever.
The Heat have some catching up to do in that department, though. Miami finished last season ranked 27th in the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage at 33.6 percent.

As if the Hornets weren’t reeling enough after losing the first two games of this playoff series to
the Heat by a combined 44 points, they head toward Saturday’s Game 3 in Charlotte without second-leading scorer Nicolas Batum. He exited Game 2 after a left foot injury early in the fourth quarter when he landed on Justise Winslow’s foot and could not make it to the locker room without help.
