Heat acquire 3-point specialist Luke Babbitt from Pelicans in trade

The Heat continued to make moves Sunday.

After adding Wayne Ellington, James Johnson and Udonis Haslem to their 2016-17 roster earlier in the day, the Heat acquired small forward Luke Babbitt from the Pelicans in a trade. Miami sent its 2018 top-55 protected second-round pick, which it acquired from New Orleans in the Jarnell Stokes trade in February, and cash considerations back to the Pelicans for Babbitt.
