MIAMI — With Dwyane Wade gone, Udonis Haslem is clearly the Heat’s leader and captain.

While Haslem hasn’t organized a team gathering to help unite the players after this offseason’s roster shakeup yet, there has been discussion about it. The team must work to integrate nine new faces (Wayne Ellington, Derrick Williams, James Johnson, Luke Babbitt, Willie Reed, Rodney McGruder, Okaro White, Stefan Jankovic and Dion Waiters) with the 10 players returning. Miami Heat reveal full summer league roster

2016 NBA playoffs: Briante Weber goes from blown out knee to playoff minutes

The last few minutes of the Heat‘s Game 1 blowout against Charlotte probably didn’t mean much to anyone on the court other than Briante Weber.

For him, it was a landmark. This is a guy whose college career ended with a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus, went undrafted and spent most of this year in the D-League. There was nothing small about checking in Sunday with 2:12 on the clock and Miami up 28 points.
