The Heat are uncertain about Chris Bosh’s status going forward, but one thing they do know is the games will keep coming.

Chris Bosh had a setup that would satisfy plenty of NBA players. He was the highest-profile, highest-scoring star on his team, but the losing wore on him. One of the best things the Heat have going for them is that they can ride Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh down the stretch. Both are among the best fourth-quarter scorers in the NBA, and they closed out Wednesday’s game in Dallas by scoring 10 of Miami’s final 15 points.

Heat point guard Goran Dragic’s basic numbers do not necessarily line up with what people expect from a $17-million-a-year player, but he rejects that as a criticism of his game.

Dragic, and coach Erik Spoelstra, maintain that he is giving Miami what it needs. If he shoots efficiently, plays defense and keeps the offense on the same beat, the Heat are not necessarily looking for huge scoring nights out of him.

Players rarely size up a matchup the way those of us on the outside do, and the Heat do not view their current predicament hopelessly.
