LOS ANGELES – Josh Richardson’s absence was brief.
Richardson, who missed his first game of the season Wednesday in Sacramento with a sore left foot, responded to treatment on Friday and was back in the starting lineup for the Heat against the Lakers.
Richardson was injured during Saturday’s game against the Wizards and tried to play through the soreness at Portland on Monday before he was ruled out of Wednesday’s game.
Richardson was the only Heat player to have played and started every game before Wednesday.
Hassan Whiteside (hip) and Dwyane Wade (hamstring) continue to be sidelined, although both worked during Friday’s shootaround at UCLA.
“They were not sitting on the sideline, which is good,” coach Erik Spoelstra said. “They were working.”
Whiteside has missed four games since suffering a left hip flexor during a shootaround. Rookie Bam Adebayo has been starting in his spot.
Wade has sat the last three since suffering a mild left hamstring strain late in the game against the Wizards.
