The Miami Heat are keeping a popular member of the family on their minds while on their longest road trip of season.
Dan Bisaccio, an assistant video coordinator, is in South Florida while dealing with health issues. The Heat have been wearing T-shirts this week that read ’10 Day,’ which is Bisaccio’s nickname.
Spoelstra gave a “shout out” to Bisaccio, 28, on Thursday while explaining the shirts.
“Why we’re all wearing them is 10-Day is the nickname for Dan Bisaccio who’s been sick,” Spoelstra said Thursday. “He’s been in the hospital. He’s feeling better today. But he’s been in the hospital for a week. But we all miss him.
“His nickname affectionately has been 10 Day – 10 Day Dan – for a couple of years, because of when he is on the scout team during our shootaround he’s going 1,000 miles an hours. Guys are always joking with him, ‘Hey, you trying to earn a 10-day’ (contract)? So he’s feeling much better and guys have been thinking about him.”
Bisaccio has worked for the organization since 2014.
Spoelstra added the team is hoping that Bisaccio is on the teams next road trip.
