Irving leads Boston with 20.8 and 6.2 assists per game. … The Celtics have the fourth best defense, allowing 96.0 points per game. … Boston has won three straight after dropping their first two games. … The Celtics are without Gordon Hayward, who signed with Boston this summer after meeting with the Heat. Hayward fractured his ankle in the season opener. Marcus Morris (knee) also is out. … Miami has lost seven straight in the series, including four in a row at home. … Kelly Olynyk faces his old team for the first time. Olynyk signed a four-year, $50 million contract with the Heat this summer. He is averaging 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. … Heat center Hassan Whiteside will miss his fourth straight game because of a bruised bone in his left knee. … The Heat rank 24nd in the league with a 107.7 defensive rating and are 22nd allowing 108.5 points per game.
