BOCA RATON — Florida Atlantic University is the place to be if you want an early glimpse of this season’s Heat team.
The Heat will hold their “Red, White & Pink” Game on Saturday at 11 a.m. at FAU Arena, with doors set to open at 10 a.m. The scrimmage is open to the public and tickets can be bought using the Miami Heat App, Ticketmaster.com or the Ticketmaster App for $1 with proceeds benefiting Miami Cancer Institute.
There is an eight-ticket maximum per transaction. Tickets went on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. There is no charge for parking.
The scrimmage will be structured like a regular NBA game with four quarters and a halftime, and will also feature many elements of Heat home games with performances by the Heat Dancers, Burnie and the Xtreme Team.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the Heat have incorporated the color pink into their scrimmage in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Players will be wearing a special edition Red, White & Pink jersey.
The scrimmage will mark the end of the Heat’s five-day training camp at FAU. Leading up to Saturday, Miami will go through two-a-day practice sessions Tuesday through Friday that will be closed to the public.
The Heat will open their six-game preseason schedule with a home game against the Hawks on Sunday at 6 p.m. at AmericanAirlines Arena.
