MIAMI — LeBron James is back in Miami … for an offseason break.
It’s been three years since James left the Heat in free agency to sign with the Cavaliers. But the 32-year-old returned to Miami and documented part of his trip on Instagram on Saturday.
While riding in a boat on Biscayne Bay, James posted a photo of AmericanAirlnes Arena with the caption, “A ton of great memories riding past her today!! #AAA #striveforgreatness.”
James then posted another photo with part of the Miami skyline in the background. That photo was captioned, “For all those that had anything to do with me being where I am today I jus wanna say THANK YOU! #blessed. #striveforgreatness.”
James is expected to become a free agent next summer, leaving some to wonder if a return to the Heat is possible. These photos may indicate the future Hall of Famer still enjoys spending time in Miami, but it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s coming back to the Heat as he’s already been linked to joining the Lakers next offseason.
Plus, the Heat have no cap space for next summer as things stand right now. But cap room can always be created with a trade or two.
Stay tuned …
