Miami Heat to face Hawks, Hornets, Wizards at home in preseason

The Miami Heat will play three preseason games at AmericanAirlines Arena in 2017, it was announced today, all against Southeast Division opponents.

Miami will open its home preseason schedule Oct. 1 against Atlanta at 6 p.m. The Heat then will face Charlotte on Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Washington on Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Preseason games along with training camp will start earlier than in years past with the league planning to lengthen the regular season by about 10 days to reduce the number of back-to-backs.

Individual tickets for the preseason home games will go on sale Friday beginning at noon and can be purchased by visiting heat.com or Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets can also be purchased at the AmericanAirlines Arena ticket center starting Monday at 10 a.m. and continuing Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ticket prices start at $10 plus applicable fees.

Starting with the 2017-18 season, all Heat home games will be mobile only entry. Fans may access their game tickets via the Miami Heat App, Ticketmaster.com and/or the Ticketmaster App on a smartphone in order to gain entry to the arena.
