CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Erik Spoelstra said there’s “no update right now” on Josh McRoberts.

The Heat announced Tuesday that McRoberts is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his left foot. While there is no timetable for McRoberts’ return, the 29-year-old forward said he “definitely” plans on playing again at some point this season.

For now, Spoelstra said the organization is trying to “find a solution” for McRoberts.

“He’s still in a boot and when we get to that next point — and I don’t when that next point will be — we’ll take the next course of action,” Spoelstra said after Thursday’s shootaround session. “But we’re putting our minds together. We really want to find a solution for him.

“I know he really wants to be out there and he was playing some of his better basketball. He’s getting in a better rhythm right before that. So, we’ll just cross our fingers and hopefully we’ll find a different solution.”

The Heat did get back Goran Dragic for Thursday’s game against the Hornets, though. Miami’s starting point guard returned after missing one game due to back spasms.

Dragic said before the game that his back was feeling better, but “it’s still sore.”

The Heat used a starting lineup of Dragic, Josh Richardson, Justise Winslow, Luke Babbitt and Hassan Whiteside on Thursday. It’s the 12th different starting lineup Miami has used this season.
