The Heat have Pat Riley. The Celtics have Tom Brady.

Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge reportedly brought the future Hall of Fame quarterback to the team’s free agent meeting with Kevin Durant in the Hamptons on Saturday. A photo of Brady walking next to Ainge seemed to confirm the report.

Entering free agency, Durant said his decision would be about basketball.

“I’m worried about basketball,” he said to ESPN. “That’s what it is for me. It’s a basketball decision.”

So why bring a player from another sport to impress Durant? Well, Durant seems to be a Brady fan.

Durant tweeted in September 2011, “Man Tom Brady is like a perfect QB…seems like he never makes any mistakes.”

Should the Heat follow the Celtics’ strategy and bring a famous Miami athlete from another sport to their meeting with Durant on Sunday? If so, who would it be? Vote in our poll below …
