Whiteside said recently the Heat have not enforced any social media restrictions on him (the Miami Herald reported in February he was banned from posting videos from the locker room), and he decided on his own to pay less attention to what people tweet him. He also veered from Twitter and Instagram in favor of Snapchat, where his account has been highly entertaining.
“I just kinda took it all to Snapchat,” he said. “I say some stuff in tweets and I tweet every once in a while. A lot of them people (on Twitter) just say stuff to get attention. Twitter’s kinda like– I like Snapchat more.”
Whiteside got in a few social media snafus earlier this season, but has been issue-free for about two months now.
