There was very little for the Heat to be happy about in Wednesday’s blowout loss to the Spurs, but there was one positive for Dwyane Wade.

Wade, who recently joined the 20,000-point club, had 16 points against San Antonio, and that was enough to pass Antawn Jamison and Tom Chambers for sole possession of the No. 39 on the all-time scoring list.

Wade is done climbing this year, as he is 445 points behind 38th-place Mitch Richmond with 11 games left.

He is on pace for 1,432 points this season, which would be his highest total since 2012-13. If he hits that this year and next, he will end the 2016-17 season 33rd, just behind Larry Bird and Gary Payton.

Those would be impressive names to add an already outstanding group Wade has overtaken. He has more career points than Hall of Famers John Stockton, Bernard King, Bob Lanier, Gail Goodrich, Scottie Pippen and Isiah Thomas, among others.
