Video: Goran Dragic shows off his busted tooth

Monday was a wild night for the Heat, who finally beat Atlanta after getting smacked around the past year-plus, and it was extra weird for Goran Dragic.

In the third quarter, Dragic took an elbow to the mouth from Hawks center Al Horford and broke one of his front teeth.

“I know he’s much taller than me, so I tried to get close to him so he could not shoot, and then I don’t really know what happened,” Dragic said. “He swung his elbow or something and he hit me. The blood was coming and I didn’t know what was going on, but then I felt some pieces in my mouth and I knew immediately.”

His wife, Maja, saw it on TV and was unfazed by it. Dragic has had his front teeth knocked out in basketball at least three times, and the tooth that broke Monday was an implant.

“It’s not the first,” he said. “She was like, ‘OK, you’re gonna go to the doctor and be the same as before.’”
